The client web site has just been launched and requires an e-commerce platform to handle the sales and transactions of goods online. The client has previously used an off-the-shelf storefront program but found that it is not extensible to meet the needs of the new business.

Not only did Plone meet their requirements of documents sharing, Genewired.com is also able to upload their archives of interviews to the system via the WebDav interface .

Riverton has initially look at Microsoft Small Business Server. Limits on the number of users and possible additional licensing costs were their key concerns.
